Jonathan McCray Jr is from Akron Ohio. He began his dance education at Nan Klingers excellence in Dance under the direction of Mia Klinger at the age of 12 years old. After training with Mia Klinger for 3 years Jonathan attended the School of American Ballet summer course where he was invited to stay for the Winter Term. While at the School of American Ballet Jonathan was given many opportunities like dancing  in George Balanchine’s Serenade as the Dark Angel man staged by Suki Schorer and Brahms Schoenberg Quartet  3rd Movement Staged by Suzy Pilarre.  Jonathan Graduated from the school of American ballet after 3 years and is excited to be dancing with Carolina Ballet!
