Emma Steinberg was born in Paradise Valley, Arizona, where she began her ballet training at the age of three. She continued her formative training at The School of Ballet Arizona under Maria Simonetti, where she gained early professional stage experience performing numerous children’s roles alongside Ballet Arizona’s company dancers. At age 17, Emma relocated to North Carolina to train in the School of Carolina Ballet’s Pre-Professional Program under the direction of Zalman Raffael and Jan Burkhard. Emma has also broadened her training through summer programs with Carolina Ballet, Ballet Tucson, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Colorado Ballet Academy, and American Ballet Theatre. Emma Steinberg became an apprentice with Carolina Ballet in 2026.
