November 26–30, 2008
Raleigh Memorial Auditorium
at the Progress Energy Center
for the Performing Arts

Choreography: Robert Weiss
Composer: George Frideric Handel
Live Music: North Carolina Master Chorale

One of Robert Weiss' crowning achievements, (hailed by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung as “Choreography Europe Needs to See”), this masterwork returns after a five-year absence from the repertory, following its successful run in Philadelphia by Pennsylvania Ballet. The Philiadelphia Inquirer raved, "Messiah rises in dance divine. A trancendent performance..." A joyous celebration of live music, with the North Carolina Master Choral, theater and dance to Handel's magnificent score for families to enjoy together during the Thanksgiving holiday.
