General Description
Applicant must be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver/HTML. Any Illustrator, Flash or CSS knowledge a plus. Responsibilities include website design and updating, designing and preparing print materials for upcoming ballets, (including programs, advertisements and flyers,) and editing photos. Optional projects include Flash animations and other interactive works.

The position will work closely and report to the Administrative and Education Director. The Administrative and Education Director will establish the goals and objectives to be achieved for the duration of the relationship and will monitor intern’s performance.
Education Curriculum and Evaluation
• Organize and compile curriculum for the education program
• Assist in preparation of report writing for the evaluation of education program
Research, Plan, and Coordinate 2010-2011 Education Tour Dates and Destinations
• Assist in identification of schools for participation in Dancers in Schools and
cARTwheels Programs
• Contact schools and coordinate tour schedules
• Assist in writing pertinent information to distribute to schools to facilitate tours
• Contact Communications Manager with information to invite press and government officials
Research, Plan, and Coordinate 2010-2011 Student Nutcracker Performances
• Identify groups to be invited to participate in the Student Nutcracker
Performances (schools, home school, service groups, etc.)
• Assist in contact and communication with group facilitators.
• Assist in writing pertinent performance information to distribute to targeted
groups:

Attributes and Skills
- • Student should possess strong communication skills, have the ability to multi-
task and be creative
- • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003 with emphasis on Microsoft
Word, Excel and Access applications
- • Be able to work independently and as a team-player
Assist in the planning and implementation of board of director meetings, board retreats and strategic planning. The management intern uses his/her writing, research, organization and people skills for diverse projects in general management. Additional projects include special events, tour research, budgeting and finance.
